These are the rules for playing LuLu’s. They’re short on purpose. By downloading or playing the game you agree to them; if you don’t, please don’t play. “We” and “us” means Machette Labs, the studio that makes LuLu’s.
Your license to play
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download LuLu’s and play it on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial fun. You’re getting a license to play, not ownership of the game. The game, its characters, art, music, writing and code belong to Machette Labs.
Tips and virtual items
Tips, upgrades, decorations, outfits, Night Market Specials and anything else you earn or unlock in the game are virtual items. They are part of your license to play:
- they have no cash value and can’t be exchanged for real money, goods or anything outside the game;
- they can’t be sold, traded or transferred to anyone else;
- they live on your device with the rest of your progress, so deleting the app or resetting your progress removes them.
Purchases
LuLu’s is free to play, with optional in-app purchases and optional reward videos. Purchases are sold and processed by Apple under Apple’s own terms, at the price shown in the App Store before you confirm.
- Refunds are handled by Apple. We can’t issue them ourselves. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Restoring. One-time purchases, like the Supporter Pack, can be restored on any device signed in to the same Apple Account from Shop → Support LuLu’s → Restore purchases (it’s also at the bottom of Settings).
- Tip jars add tips to the game on the device you bought them on. Like other progress, those tips can’t be restored after the app is deleted.
Optional videos
Some rewards can be earned by watching a short video, which you always choose to start. Videos are provided by Google AdMob. The reward is given once a video finishes. Videos need an internet connection, have daily limits, and sometimes none are available; we can’t promise one will always be ready.
Play fair
Enjoy the game however you like. Please don’t:
- copy, resell, rent out or redistribute the game or its art and music;
- reverse engineer or tamper with the game to get purchases or rewards without paying or watching, or interfere with its ads or purchases;
- use the game to break the law or anyone else’s rights.
If you break these terms we may end your license, and you’ll need to stop playing and delete the game. You can stop at any time simply by deleting it.
Changes to the game
We update LuLu’s to fix things and add new ones. Specials rotate, and features may change or be retired over time. We’ll try hard never to take away something you paid for; if we ever have to, we’ll tell you how to get help.
No warranty
We make LuLu’s with care, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise it will be free of bugs or always available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid for LuLu’s purchases in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
About Apple
These terms are between you and Machette Labs, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for LuLu’s or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Your use of the game is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement and the App Store’s usage rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
